Budweiser’s Anti-Craft Beer Super Bowl Ad

If you watched yesterday’s nail biting, roller coaster Super Bowl game, you probably saw all the commercials as well. Budweiser promoted an ad that made fun of craft beer enthusiasts. Here it is

What did you think? Did they properly describe what the craft beer community is about?

The ad definitely made sense from a business perspective. They were differentiating themselves from their competition. Budweiser has lost a great deal of market share to craft beer over the years. Anheuser-Busch, Budweiser’s parent company, has made some big purchases in the craft beer market lately.
